As a user of KingstonChamberPodcast.com, we want you to know about the information we collect and how it is used.
Actually, WE don’t collect much, unless you give it to us via our contact page (ie. your name, email address, and, optionally, your website) or by leaving us a comment on a particular post or page. This enables us to engage with our readers and listeners to provide a more meaningful experience for everyone involved.
But you should know that there are other things happening “behind the scenes” that are designed to further enhance your user experience (like cookies) and allow us to see what content is popular… or not (think stats).
That said, most of this heavy lifting is done by a company known as Automattic. Automattic owns and operates WordPress.com, which is the host of our website. Their Privacy Policy outlines all of the ways that they, and the various products they employ, are collecting data on the websites they host (like your IP address, the type of browser you are using, and your geographical location) and what they ultimately do with it. Automattic may also put targeted ads on our website to help defray some of the hosting costs. We do not receive any revenue from these ads.
You should also know that any videos on our website are likely hosted over at YouTube.com. Your playing of these videos will trigger tracking analytics for statistical purposes. YouTube’s Privacy Policy can be found here.
Additionally, if you subscribe to our podcast, some of your information (like your email if you opted for email notification) is stored in a system we have access to. For this we use Google’s Feedburner product. See their Privacy Policy here.

Also, in line with the Fair Information Practices – though we have security measures in place – in the event of a data breach, we will notify those whose personal information may have been compromised via email in a prompt and timely manner.
